Philosophiæ Naturalis
Principia Geometrica

The abstraction and progression of of geometric images

On the theme of corrections of history, corrections of errors, we have statistic’s R.A. Fisher and physic’s Max Plank, scientists whose comments somewhat deconstruct the politics of changing opinions. R.A Fisher said the goal of science is an increase in human knowledge, but this is awkward because feelings get hurt. It is perfectly normal to expect that what we have been teaching for a decade or two may need some revision as new facts come to light, but some will resists and fight it with the ferocity of animals whose territory is invaded. Max Plank said science advances one funeral at a time. Or more precisely, truths will not change the mind of those invested in the status quo, only their death and a new generation used to the new idea bring change.
