Butterflies is a ten year study of visual language and beauty.

Linguistics describes beauty is an algorithm; a set of rules. Some curators say that beauty is out. Still, it cannot be discarded altogether, being a functional component of visual language.

Paul Dirac said that whe he sees beauty in his equations,
he knows he's on the right path to progress
while if beauty's lacking, the math is probably wrong.

It's sensible to ask if this science behind beauty
also applies to visual art.

Through aesthetic we become aware of deeper patterns, of instincts  that determine choice and personality. Ancient instincts and more recent ones from the last centuries or decades, a spectrum of personal and social culture.  It is likely there’s a strong connection between our collective consciousness and our individual lives, almost as if humanity was a computer in which local information spread from one node to the other, as creative activity is vital for the formation of consciousness.

328 paintings in this series.
